Today, the delivery ceremony of the new ship "Umiterashi" was held at Usuki Shipyard Co., Ltd.

"Umiterashi" is another name for the city tree "Chionanthus retusus" that grows naturally in the northern part of Tsushima City, and was named with the hope that it will illuminate the sea forever.
By improving the speed compared to the current "Ferry Genkai", the flight time will be shortened by about 1 hour.
In addition, the installation of fin stabilizers improves ride comfort, and barrier-free facilities such as elevators and toilets for the physically challenged are enhanced, so it can be used more comfortably than before.

In the future, we will adjust the equipment at Hakata Port and Hida Katsu Port and conduct voyage training, and will proceed with preparations for the service departing from Hida Katsu 16:00 on Thursday, July 1st.
