We are now selling a limited edition "Nippon Maru/Kaiwo Maru" version of the Gofune Seal Book.
This book was created jointly by the Japan Maritime Technical Education and Training Agency (JMETS), an independent administrative institution that provides seafarer education, and the Gofune Seal Secretariat.
This design is inspired by the Rinpa school of art that began in the Edo period, with the Nippon Maru and Kaiwo Maru floating at dawn symbolizing "sailors who will carry a bright future," and auspicious cranes are depicted praying for their departure.
If you purchase a Gofune Seal Book now, you will receive a clear file and a round paper fan as a gift!
